A real scan, run by our own scanner
This is the actual report our scanner produced for info.cern.ch (opens in a new tab), the first website, published by CERN. We chose a public, non-commercial page so we could show a real, unedited report without publishing anything about a client’s business. CERN is not a client.
What this scan checked
axe-core against WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 A and AA rules, including color contrast at the WCAG AA thresholds, plus a scripted keyboard pass for tab order, visible focus and keyboard traps. It is a small, plain page, so it has few issues. Expect more on a site with forms, menus and a checkout.
What a scan like this cannot check
Whether alt text is actually meaningful, whether reading order makes sense to a real screen reader user, whether ARIA roles fit the specific widget, and how the page holds up under real assistive technology testing with a person at the keyboard. That is what the human review in a Fix Sprint adds.
